The assignment this week is a "Dutch Pour" as we have come to know as a Paint Pour. The artist below has a good video comparing water as a mix for your paint vs. Floetrol ( the product from Home Depot). Please try out the suggestions here. I know you all do not have access to acrylic paint but if you would like to try this assignment than Michaels is open to order a curbside pick up. You can get inexpensive sets of acrylic paint and a canvas for this assignment. However, you may want to purchase the student grade paint, Basics, for this assignment. You only need 3 colors and, I suggest, a metallic color - silver or gold or a color metallic. FIRST -Please read the Dutch Pour Project Sheet found below in the link.

Here is Rinske Douna's first video - watch where she places white to create the best composition.

Finally, here is a video, lengthy -so just start at 6 min - 14 min, showing "floral designs" created.

You can do this assignment with only a hair dryer - you do not need the culinary torch. Although, it will make the paint cells pop! Have fun and submit your final project with you in the photo to TEAMS Turn-In Assignment AND share on the Post so we can all see it. ( there are many paint pour images which can be submitted as your assignment and some students at other schools have tried this so you must include yourself in the photo.
